Ex #3 bought a 2k$ Gateway system similarly specced in about '97, which was my 1st foray onto the ole www. We even used AOL w/the 56k dial up modem it had.

When she split and took the new tech toy w/her I was already hooked but lacked the funds to spring for one myself so I snagged a shiny new WebTv set top box for $200.

Swapped a turbo installation on a buddys Talon for my 1st actual 'puter in 2001. Had a 1gig Athalon, 40gigs of HD and 512k of RAM and I thought it was the cat shit
