Oh, sure you can, but like everything human beings undertake, it has an upside and a downside. Too many people never EVER think about right and or wrong without Religion having some presence in their lives and therefore it has had some positive effect on the social evolution on our society.

The people who see it as a pyramid scheme or a platform to foist their own self-delusion on the world are what make it a (like some say of all Governments, possibly for many of the same reasons) "A STUPID GIANT RUN AMUCK". It's also why our founding fathers decided to seperate them so they couldn't learn a coordinated dance step or two and squash us all to death. Of course anybody born after 1970 has slept through every Western Civ class ever taught and now we're paying a horrendous price for it.
