Oh yeah! Good ol classic Mopars
Had a '69 Satellite, cushiest muscle car I ever owned and .... had a back seat
big enough for a full on Caligula style orgy

Is that an Impal'er?

Looks like a Roadrunner to me. My old Satellite was Plymouths model of the
same ride

Totally different body style 'berto. The one in the gallery pic would be a
late 60s model before they neutered it and gave it the styling shown in the 71
model.
The early model Roadrunners were wicked MoFos straight outta the box from
Chrysler with engine packages all the way up to the 426 Hemi, trannies and rear
ends built to take phenomenal abuse and .... cushy, roomy interiors with heaters
that would burn you out and A/C that would freeze you out. 'Course they still
braked and handled like the lead sleds they were but the thrill a minute driving
experience in a straight line was awesome!
Said it before but there's a big soft spot in my heart for the old Mopars

My first few cars were Chargers.
They were unique to Australia, Chrysler not Dodge that is.
Cop specials were 265's straight 6 with triple-double carbies (weber).
I had a 318 Hemi with standard 770 tri-metal transmission.
From memory the 6 put out more than the 8.
Handled like a flat bottomed boat.

I don't ever remember that particular straight six here in the US 'berto and I
know I can't recall one with a triple Weber set up. The only 6 I can remember
them usin here was a 225 "slant" six, so called because the engine sat
at a laid over angle in the engine bay, had one in a 70 Plymouth Duster, whatta
car!
Had a 69 Plymouth Satellite with a 383 and believe it or not a freakin 2 barrel
carb! Had that puppy up to at least 155mph on an open stretch of highway one
night on the way back from the beer store!
My fave though was a 69 Dodge Dart with a 340 HO V-8, that car was light and
mean! 10.5:1 pistons, big valves, high rise intake with a big 4 barrel carb and
a Mallory dual point distributor and huge coil .... all straight factory parts.
I top ended a new 'Vette the day I bought it with 104k already on the odo-clock

That explains why I didn remember the engine you mentioned, nor the other
variants in the article ... we never got 'em
Just imagine what those engines might have been able to do with a DIS
w/individual coil packs, fuel injection and a 4 valve DOHC set up w/some bad boy
cams
When I was playin around in the early/mid 90s with my 74 Ford Capri w/ a 2.0L
inline 4 w/ a SOHC hemi head w/ solid lifters and made about 85hp (which I
eventually tweaked to about 150hp), Holbay Engineering in England had a DOHC
head version that used a pair of Weber 45 DCOEs and an electronic distributor
race engine model that was puttin out over 300hp as an NA engine
I wanted one of those DOHC heads soooo badly but couldn come up with the $6k
they wanted for 'em as a bare head with a set of cams and followers, which I'd
have still had to have built my own intake and exhaust mannies for, since they
didn offer those for sale.
Of course all this is why I fell instantly in love w/the Mitsu 2.0s as they had
a 4 valve DOHC hemi head w/roller cam followers, a DIS, extremely efficient
injection w/ a pretty good stock intake manny and a similarly decent cast iron
header all managed with a really efficient ECU and all this on their base model
2.0L 4 banger
