DAMN!! My folks drove this very same car for 15 years! Hardtop with vinyl roof,
though. Black on black on black...what a car. Power headrests, wing windows,
factory am-fm radio with the "wonderbar" seek button on the floor next
to the high beam switch. How cool is that?

amazing! loved this car, but only good for cruising. handled like a dump truck
and sounded like a boat! had 2 parts cars that i made into 2 running cars with a
few engine parts. sold the other kept this one for 7 or $800.00 clear.

If you have the heads off at any time in the future, and intend to keep the
car, Have a competent machinist replace the valve seats with hard
stellite...unleaded gas proof.

Isn't it amazing, we all love our old cars and get together without calling
each other assholes and liberals or other derogatory terms. There may be
something here the world leaders could learn. But most of their first cars were
camels.
Oh well just a thought..

Of the few cars I like, this is one of them. Smooth doors, and a trunk big
enough to hide several bodies in. Very practical car, despite the MPG.

Mom used to pick me and my younger brother up after school in her '66
Continental. The black paint and suicide doors made all the other kids think it
was a limo! Heh heh!

Funny thing you mention, John_Stone...when my folks GAVE me this car (and I
drove it everday to my high school) I felt miserable about the $20 it cost to
fill the tank twice a month. Sure wish I had that problem now!

sitting in back seat with top down, kennedy? lol. car had a history that i
could'nt track down much of. my cousin did paint job, when he was preparing,

no, i believe it still had springs, can't remember ever having to work on
suspension
Anonymous Report This Comment Date: October 18, 2005 11:48PM
BIG ass springs and shocks. Maybe you're thinking of the Citroen SM, (or
S&M) to those of us who've actually worked on one. It's French...no other
explanation needed.

Flounder, as in Animal House? I can't remember, did they actually use an old
Continental in the infamous parade scene?
