If talking on a cell phone is so distracting, how come taxi drivers, truckies and even cops can legally talk on the radio and drive at the same time? Surely a conversation on a radio is just as distracting as one on a cell phone?

I believe the difference is that a two way radio is used for more business like conversations (i.e. short to the point with little emotional content). Were as cell phone calls tend to be more a person conversations and by there nature are more distracting. I have used both while driver and I find cell phone far more distracting to my driving. That is my 2 cents anyway.
