The high gas prices are your own fault not the governments. Oil companies
charge prices according to what the market wil bear and as long as we continue
to was gas the way we do now it will continue to go up. People still jump in
their cehicles and just go for a ride, or go to the store 3 and 4 times a day.
You still take unnecessary trips on the weekends to the lake or wherever which
is really not essential. I see more and more Hummers on the road and gas
guzzling SUVs. Just remember the phrase "what the market will bear"
and stop using gas for play and only use it for essential driving.
The only thing a president can do to stop the increase in price is to enact a
wage and price freeze and even that would have to pass congress. The president
has a lot less power then you guys seem to think. He is not a dictator and
cannot just pass laws on his own.

Gas prices were climbing during all administrations and none of the presidents
had any control over it. Back in the 70's what stop the climb was propaganda of
a shortage which curtailed the usage and stop the increase in price. What will
stop the climb now will have to be we the people, by conserving and only driving
when absolutely necessary. If their sales drop the price will stop climbing.
