10c for a slice of cheese on a quarter pounder is a rip when a whole cheeseburger is 33c.

Not while writing it BUT after I got a price back for a new screen on my Android phone I think I had a conniption.
There is dead zone over where the "a" is on the OSK among other glitches since I dropped the sucker.
Time for a new phone, none of them are worth repairing IMO.

This scandalous waste of materials, that will run out, also applies to washing machines. The neighbour's are replacing theirs, when their son and myself can fix it. The world's gone mad. Reality will bite hard.

I bought a new dryer recently because I replaced the washing machine. They stacked. Washing machine had a dodgy dial and was always a bit crap since it went into storage for 18 months.

So replaced the washing machine and dryer as one order, different brand, even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dryer and I'm sure a couple of hundred bucks would've fixed the washing machine.

Why? It's just fucking easier than dealing with some asshat tradie

I paid $600 to fix a toilet recently as it worked out. Ended up fixing it myself for $2 from Bunnings after burning that cash. And $300 for Miele to replace the oven door seal which lasted 12 months.

At least the garage door motor I had done a month ago has so far been replaced free because they haven't finished the job and I'm not paying until they do.

Fuck tradies. Genuinely, pack of cunts.

I've haven't complained about tradesmen for years, since a now defunct building company. Word travels fast in a small town. We tend to have the opposite problem: people who move into town and don't pay. At least one has found a new and urgent bill - costing more than the original bill. A woman employed by the council keeps a list of dodgy builders, I've not heard of it for a while, and the handymen have a list of bad customers.

So much for my talk: a motion activated solar powered light, used indoors at night, just died for the second time and now I can't fix it. Nothing's disconnected. Then again it was blu-tacked into place and hit the floor a few times. An identical unit out the front still works. In the recycle bin it goes. Most of the weight was the battery.

Blu-tac is a quality building supply.
