Yeah, you can keep the ice. Being cold blooded they get very lethargic when we
have cold weather even well above freezing. When the sun comes out they drag
themselves out of the water to bask in the warmth and barely move. That's the
best time to get pictures. There are iguanas here too, an invasive species
spreading thanks to irresponsible pet owners, and when the temperature drops
below a certain point they get stunned, fall out of trees, and lay there until
they warm up again. It's become something of a joke the last few years for the
weather forecasters to issue tongue in cheek falling iguana warnings.

God, Iguanas or Drop Bears. We're doomed by the trees.
