A memory one can do without. Over here there's a move to end manual gearboxes
so as to do without the need for clutch pads. Less maintenance/repair. There
are now motorbikes on sale with a 'wet clutch', using the sump oil.
There was/is a product on sale here that you added to an engine's oil after 20
000 kms, when it had all worn in. It coated super hot surfaces with a very hard
layer - maintaining the engine in brilliant condition for decades longer than it
otherwise would be. You can't use that in a wet clutch as you can't change the
oil's viscosity.
