I feel sorry for the young. This is the only reality they know. It's a mess.
I wasn't like this when we were young. Nor were the odds deliberately stacked
against us the way they are now.
Thinking back, I had a beautiful childhood. I grew up on 3/4 of an acre on
Sydney's north. We went to a friend's house and two little girls in home made
dresses (satin?) placed a square of the same material in the same colour on the
grass, sat a baby with a ribbon around her head and a little bow tilted to one
side beside it and held a doll's tea party on it. The baby watched what would
be her future role.
No one seems to have a childhood like that now.
