There's an early series episode of Midsomer Murders titled Destroying Angel in which a guy is murdered with these, slowly and painfully murdered.

In Australia at the moment there's a murder trial for slightly different but similar thing; Death Cap mushrooms made into a beef wellington.

Killed 3 people, left one in hospital for 2 months.

The woman is also is charged with 3 counts of poisoning her ex-husband (his parents were 2 of those killed) in previous instances. I believe he was meant to be at the lunch but didn't attend for some reason.

She made sure her kids didn't get any of the food with mushrooms in it; they found her food dehydrator after it was thrown away "because she panicked" and claimed she got the mushrooms from "some Asian grocer" but couldn't name where.
