Honestly if you ride at that speed on a footpath you deserve a face full of cement.

I like the public hire scooters. I've used them 20, 30 times. But the fuckwits around here who tear along past the shops, right next to the doors where people pop out onto the footpaths are insane. Uber eats riders also.

It's especially bad when there's bike paths all around. Use them.

I had just walked out of a Bunnings, still standing on the driveway, roadworks to the right meant barriers narrowed the road right at the corner. A woman came screaming around that corner and slammed into a Beamer that just left an under office block car park. It was Saturday and the 20ish miss at the wheel was driving with her mum. The rear of the Beamer moved 70cm! Speedster told the insurance company it was the misses' fault.
