yes, of course..but neither masks nor seat belts are 100% effective, so I fail
to see the point in making that comparison

So because they fall into the same category (ie. not 100% effective), you don't
see how they can be compared? Should we instead only compare things that are
different?

upon further consideration...you're right. It is a valid comparison.
Neither are 100% effective and both may actually do more harm than good, in some
cases.

i couldn't wear a mask in a store without getting the cops knocking at my
door. Now you can't even get in without a mask, so in typical digger defiance, I
wear a black bandana as a mask, and a .45 on my hip. Love to see the double
takes.
BTW, n95 masks are half ass. They are designed for a hazardous environment, and
they only filter incoming air, so everyone is breathing out the same amount of
germs as before. It's like a placebo, if it makes your conscience feel better
that you are any safer, then mask up dillhole! LOL
I am an expert in the field of masks and rubber gloves because we sell them at
the auction house by the truck load. The true info is not hiding out there guys,
but there are a ton of tossers out there confusing the already confused. I will
not argue my position, because I am right.
