It's possible but I don't ask them for ID - social distancing always applies to these critters. The pictures were taken about three years apart and there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of gators on that particular creek. The day I snapped the one on the card was after a couple of cold nights in a row and in four or five K of paddling I saw about thirty average to above average sized gators laying out catching some sun trying to warm up. Winter is the best time for gator spotting; in the summer you never know where most of them are, just somewhere under the water - fun times.
