They are restauratg a tower, and covered it with this picture so that works are hidden and the view isn't spoiled. Usually they use a picture of the building thei are working at, but in this case they chose for a bit of hirony representing the tower of Pisa

great idea for covering up unsightly scaffolding! The Pisa tower there must cause quite a few doubletakes!

As far as I know, in Canada, (or at least where I've been in Canada) I've only seen scaffolding around the building. Often there is relatively high fencing surrounding a construction with a smallish (relative to the size of the fence) artist's rendition of the finished result.

Yeah, they done the same thing with the British Museum in London. They were undertaking restoration, and covered with up completely with a large canvas with the illustration of what its gonna lool like... cool.

in edmonton (canada) they do none of that artsy stuff. Usually just a chain link fence is all

maybe they think a chain link fence is art....perhaps contemporary art...
