Either follow the rules or change them. Nearly anything can be argued as
artistic expression and I didn't notice any argument in favor of keeping the
picture except for me saying it was nice. Perhaps such images could be moved to
the pr0n side instead of deleted?
On a related note, what about the rest of the rules no one follows?

Today is a momentous occasion for this website. plus613 has given birth to a
darker, nastier sibling. Today we launch.. porn613.com.

It does classify as not appropriate for this site, though that said I'm
generally pretty flexible. To be honest I don't care if some of them slip
through but the problem is I don't want that to become the norm on the site,
which it did when we allowed porn originally, hence the split. One of the
original reasons I wanted to tone down this site a bit was because I didn't want
the corporate content blockers to block us, but given half the site doesn't work
when I'm in the office I guess it's too late.
We used to have a button for mods to transfer an image to the other site (on
both sites) but the logic behind it ended up too hard after a couple of years of
the porn site running we took it out. Maybe one day.. It'd be great to put some
time into new features for the site. DK has gone AWOL and I'm generally pretty
useless so I wouldn't hold my breath but in time we'll get some new stuff up
here.

I see it all pretty simply .... this is someone elses sandbox and I'm happy to
be allowed to play here, so I figure abididng (at least mostly) with the rules
is part of the gig.
Understanding the "point" behind the very limited censorship here
helps assuage my seething distaste for the construct in general in regard to
this site, which I still see as one of, if not the, most freewheeling site(s)
around
What I do view with utter distaste/disdain is the moralist perspective of some
folks who would choose to use the TOS (and ALL us old hands here know 'em,
posted or otherwise) to foist their agenda(s) upon the rest of us, all the while
bleating like the sheeple they so aptly represent, as I see defending ones own
moralist perspective through the use of others rules the weakest and most small
minded of perspectives
For those folks I have nothing but contempt and like the message on the old U of
Wisconsin T-shirt I had till I wore it smooth out said

I see it differently. This place belongs to all of you. If it weren't for you
crazy guys we probably would've binned it years ago. That's one of the biggest
reasons we don't impose many rules. This place should be more or less anything
you want it to be, so long as it doesn't get me jailed

I understand the need to keep porn on the other site and I actually didn't look
at the "offensive" pic in full resolution to begin with so didn't
notice the exposure but also believe in a little bit of bending of the rules so
long as it doesn't get out of hand. I'm still a little confused as to the
difference between porn in print vs. porn in an image, though. The most
offensive thing to me is the "hall monitor" finger pointing mentality
that can't operate without quoting chapter and verse of the rules. I'm not one
for much rule breaking myself, most rules are there for a good, or at least
reasonable, purpose, but in a place like this, which I consider analogous to the
corner pub, some flexibility is expected and makes being a rule nazi ridiculous.
There are plenty of other venues where it's acceptable and even necessary but
here it just seems very petty and childish. This ain't junior high.
Now who's buyin' the next round?!
