Yeah, thanks, the Florida International Airshow is happening at the airport just a couple of miles from here this weekend with lots of fly overs here.

I used to live in a neighborhood that was about 1/4 mile off the flightline for a naval air base where the Blue Angels gave a semi annual show. The area of the neighborhood directly under the flightline had been bought up, all the houses demolished and the land had all been fenced off, though the streets were still there making it an awesome place to watch the show from.

Nothin like sittin there and havin a top dog naval jet formation come screamin by at an altitude of only a cuppla hundred feet above your head. One year a pilot came by us doin the tail stand maneuver where he was flighin along about 150 feet of the deck at about a 45 degree angle at maybe 70mph about a block away from where we were sittin. Man that was wicked to see

The Blue Angels have been here many times over the years and the USAF Thunderbirds a few but I don't think either was even scheduled for this year. There was supposed to be an F-22 demonstration but that was canceled due to the sequestration.

Airshows are awesome. While in the Navy I got to see two really fantastic airshows that headlined the Blue Angels. The first was in early 70's when they were flying F-4s, the second one when they were using A-4s after 1974.
