not OC so not sure but I think it's brittle...
the buttplug guesses are half right, it may also be used for vaginas
it's to keep the embalming fluid from seeping out of dead folks

Yep, it's called an AV closure. (AV - Anal Vaginal) and used for embalming. You can order them online Skidmark.
