I think so, yes. I've seen her glamored up a bit and she could clean up pretty good. Not beauty pageant material but not really ugly either.

My excuse is age, hard work and wear and tear. What's yours?

Retaining wall, concrete something or other on the side of the freeway, whatever It was a joke son, and meant to make as much sense as your reference to the ugly tree.
