Yeah, seen that. Brave kid and I am glad he saved his own life by losing his arm but they shouldn't have been swimming there in the first place.

This is a big local story around here since it happened about 55 miles east of here and we share the same local TV stations. With constant coverage they've barely mentioned that the spot where he was attacked is clearly posted "No Swimming". Other than going swimming there in the first place this kid showed amazing presence of mind during the ordeal and great spirits since.

The airboat captain was a big local story has well for the same reason of sharing local TV outlets and happening about 70 or 80 miles south of here. He was almost certainly feeding the gator which is a big nono and a crime or at the very least he was taunting it which is also a crime and especially stupid in an area where the gators are used to being illegally fed by tour boat captains to thrill the passengers.
