The funny thing about earthquakes is it has no sense of politics. Natural
disasters don't care about what people did in the past. I am probably older than
most of you at 60 which puts me closer to WWII and I don't hate the Japanese for
what their emperor did. That earthquake could have happened on the other side of
the ring of fire just as easily. It may yet happen. Don't get me wrong, I don't
care even a little bit about the loss of life there or anywhere else but my
feeling has nothing to do with WWII. Death is simply a natural part of life and
it has to happen to everyone. Even if that happened here to someone close to me
I would feel the same, a little sad but accepting. Maybe if it happened to north
Vietnam I would feel more gratified but I even doubt that. Life and death I have
seen it all and cause it all so it is basically all the same to me.
