Far worse than that, all Facebook users open themselves to having any info posted to perusal by anyone (or financial/social/governmental entity) with a connection.

Though the net is both helpful in being able to keep in touch with others and an awesome research tool ..... it's also a literal mine field and a very dangerous place to be putting personal info for anyone(and EVERYONE) to see
