Does that mean that we don't have to be PC anymore?
Ever noticed that up until recently, every TV show with a black family is
wealthy and prosperous?
Except one show, can you name it?

Yes ironically Good Times was the only sitcom to feature a poor black family in
the 20th Century.
I haven't seen the other one down under.

British sitcom Steptoe & Son.

Sanford and Son was based upon Steptoe and Son.

years ago on conan they did a bit called 'where's grady?' they showed a clip of
aunt esther hitting him with her purse as he was leaving freds house and that
was supposedly the last time anyone had seen him...was pretty funny..
from wikipedia:
In 1996, the show Late Night with Conan O'Brien wished to use him in a sketch,
but were unable to locate him. The show mounted a highly publicized
tongue-in-cheek search for Mayo called "Where's Grady?". After three
weeks and over 50,000 calls to NBC from fans who claimed to have spotted him,
Mayo finally appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien to a standing ovation
from the audience, and the highest ratings Late Night with Conan O'Brien had
seen in years. Mayo revealed that it was his mother who told him of the search
after a repairman saw his picture in her house and told her she could be
eligible for a reward.[1] At the time, Mayo was in Cape Canaveral, Florida as a
member of the cast of the short-lived syndicated action/drama television show,
The Cape. In the show, Mayo played Sweets, the lovable owner of the Moonshot Bar
and Grill.

Grady had his own show for a season or two. Whitman Mayo is the actor's name.
My dad was a young man back in the days of Amos and Andy on the radio and he
loved when Fred and Grady got into mischief 'cause I think it reminded him of
that.
