You really have to marvel at whatever suffices for the brain of the marketing
douchebags. Is it even possible that they really don't understand that we're
totally saturated with commercials, and sick to death of them? They're just
drooling on their power ties at the thought of being able to beam spam to your
cell phone. It's already happening in other places. Have you
ever heard
of anyone else that wished there was more advertising?
"I'm really enjoying this movie, but I sure wish they would interrupt it at
some crucial point."
"Woo-hoo!!! I thought it was just a call from my wife, but it was WalMart
spamming my cell phone about a sale on CAT FOOD!! I almost came on myself. I
don't even have a cat!"
Even with just current technology, I think it's only a matter of time until
retailers start claiming airspace around their shops, and a
right
to to project advertising onto the windshield of your car and to any receptive
electronic devices you may have with you. It'll be like one of those sci-fi
dystopia movies, where literally
everything will be a billboard. I'm not
looking forward to it.

I hate people that do better than me too! Why can't we all have the same amount
of money, regardless of how hard we worked for it. Billy makes more money then
everyone on my block combined! Thats not cool!!! Spread the wealth Billy, cut
that to 1 payment insted of 2 Damnit!!
shaDEz Report This Comment Date: October 20, 2008 12:59AM
Because yours is an idealist, a utopian socialism. you fail (again) to see the
underlying contradiction; the mental manual dialectic (the difference between
those who work with their minds and those that work with their hands). Those who
work with their minds would still get paid more than those whose labor is
manual, under socialism, only what they produce would belong to the whole
society instead of being appropriated. All the while everyone who works mostly
with their hands must be taking up more and more mental labor, become more aware
of the true nature of what they're producing with their hands toward the final
aim of revolution where those differences nolonger exist.

So even under Shadez's system there would still be the elite who make more

It was a joke shadez... but I can see how its getting harder and harder to

shaDEz Report This Comment Date: October 21, 2008 04:19AM
The difference will be that instead of a handful of people owning what is
produced by all of society, this will belong to all of society and in a way that
benefits all of society and humanity instead of merely the interests of that
handful (or class). What socialist society produces must then be used to leap
beyond that very fundamental contradiction between mental, and manual. This is
accomplished by involving all people to take up and understand the science
behind the new advances in the technology. So that we transcend that fundamental
contradiction between leaders and led... these leaders have to have the outlook
of learning from who they are leading and teaching the masses to take up this
outlook, but in a way that actually gets the masses to understand and take this
up themselves...
"to the brink of being drawn and quartered"
how B.A. puts it, is what kind of position the state must be put in during this
socialist transition to communism. Socialism is still like capitalism in that
these same class distinctions exist and so do the antagonisms, because of what
happens right after the vanguard takes state power... what the inherited
conditions that exist after the victory of revolutionary politics. All of this
must be done with this outlook, method and approach and with a grasping of this
particular line, and should not become demoralized from setbacks... minor
setbacks and even serious setbacks as has occurred twice, but this too should be
learned from and subjected to critical analysis.

Class distinctions would be present in any country using any form of governing.
There will always be those who have more and are better off than others. My
income is below poverty level but I do not wish to take money away from the
rich, if they want to give it to me I would take it but I never want to take it
by force. No form of government is perfect but at least I am allowed to better
my position when something comes up. I have learned how be be happy with what
little I have and I still have hopes of improving my situation in the future.
Socialism and communism is not the answer because they do not allow the little
person to improve.

hahaha... they will if the find it profitable though. That would be really
cruel crime of imperialism lol
jgoins, dude you're really down to the floor... it's okay though we all are, but
there is a reason for this, things don't just come out of thin air, and I have
been trying to explain what is underlying all of this... but I see we're just
going around in circles... you're still speaking of states, different countries.
that classlessness would never work in any of these... of course not! Communism
is no countries, no social divisions, no state, no goverment, and yet not
anarchy. To get to this requires a whole period of time, even if stayed on the
road to communism and not going off on some capitalist road like has happened
twice before, and has the same possibility of happening again--if there was this
revolution--if we fail to learn from the past mistakes and the new one we will
be making in the future in a positive way instead of with the pessimistic
attitude and outlook we all are inclined to have... and this communism is
something that none of us alive today will ever live to see. But the transition
to communism we could live to see... even just that would be a whole hell of a
lot better conditionaly and much more exciting with all of the new discoveries
being made. Under socialism people must not only be able to improve but be
encouraged to as well. But under no circumstances can someone be allowed to
improve themselves by harming others, as what happens with the production
relations under capitalism.
And this whole accusing me of wanting to steal from the upper class is quite
ridiculous really... considering what they steal from all of you everyday. All
you have been conditioned to think all of your life is within the narrow horizon
of bourgeois right. Take a materialist view of your own rights, now rupture with
that thinking that as long as you don't try to go over those rights then nothing
will happen to you, and compare those rights to those of the rulling class...
Do you feel like you've been made a sheep your whole
life yet?

But communism is a country or state. China, North Korea, old Russia etc. The
little people in communism have nothing and the ruling elite have everything. I

shaDEz; you really have been smoking some good stuff if you truly believe
communism is the answer. While captilaist democracy is not perfect, a communist
revolution will never replace it, at least not long term. The one major flaw in
communism is that people are selfish, and no revolution is going to change that.
Is it right, no, but is it going to change, absolutely not.

You summed it up pretty good, GAK67, people are selfish which is why communism
will never work and capitalism is in a world of hurt right now. It's all about
our instinctive need for self preservation.

IN all models of government there are those in power who have more than
everyone else, at least in our society we have the capability of becoming rich.
In communism the lower class person cannot become rich under any circumstances.
I may not have much right now but if I play my cards right I could have more.
