Had these in Germany when i was stationed there in the early 70's,were the last
of the gasoline powered equipment besides the jeep then.Any improvments made to
them since?

88 recovery vehicle. I remember watching one of these take off down from Kelly
Hill on ft. Benning with no road guards. I turned around and drove to the bottom
of the hill and it had a 113 hanging from the boom. The 113 had flipped and some
one was trapped under it. He died but it was still impressive how fast it got
the track up off him suspended in mid air.

some improvements, 12 cylinder continental twin turbo v 12 diesel fer
instance(air cooled of course) creats around 1200 HP before gear reduction
through the final drives.
