Three Canadians face life imprisonment in a US federal prison simply for political activities in Canada to legalize marijuana around the world.

Marc Emery, Michelle Rainey, and Greg Williams are Canadian citizens who were heavily involved in anti-prohibition activitism for over ten years. The United States Justice Department and DEA want Canada's government to extradite these three political activists to face 10 years up to life in US prison! The extradition hearing has been scheduled to begin on November 5th, 2007.

Unfortunately the America govt is intent on villifying a drug that their own best researchers findings proclaimed making users "Happy, hungry and eventually sleepy" and whose findings about the worst symptoms to the users from its useage was in being arrested and drug through the draconian legal processes surrounding possession of it under American laws.

Seems like a well orchestrated move by the DEA and Atty. Gen. to quash a person whose life goal has been to illuminate the issues and defy the status quo in efforts to change the existing laws regarding marijuana and to do so by removing the fund raising potential for this movement his retail operations afforded him. Those in such a position are always BIG targets for such witch hunts and I'm sure he will likely be martyed by the US govt in their "Drug War" if Canada chooses to allow extradition.

With all the big fish there are out there to be fried internationally it sure seems senseless for the US govt. to pursue this matter

It's funny, the Government ships weed to Americans for health issues but tries to put others in Drug Camps just for speaking their mind...... just like everything with them, it's not..... whats right or wrong, it's...... do what WE tell you, or else!

No, actually they haven't, which would have been apparent had you just read the attached link ... sheesh

However, what has been going on is the sale of seeds which can be used to grow weed. In turn the US govt is trying to extrapolate some amount of weed that "might" have been grown with the seeds they've sold into the US and thereby charge them with massive amounts of drug trafficing as if they had indeed grown, harvested and sold it here, which is certainly a pretty hard stretch of what likley actuslly occured, which is of course of NO relevence to the govt, never has been, nor will it ever be important.

And .... if you'd have troubled yourself to have taken the time to read the article before just runnin your mouth about something you obviously don't know about you'd have also found out that Marc says he's known it would happen and consented to becoming a martyr for this cause. Not something I wanna do, but it's his life and he is accepoting of the possibility.

All in all sure he broke the law, but not in his country and asking the US to extradite him for it seems a bit grievious. Now if they were attempting to actually find the growers here and pursue them, that would be a bit more realistic.

Just keep eating up all the BS propoganda you can find about marijuana, regurgitate it at every turn and surely you'll wind up convinced it's true even if there isn't a single smidgen of truth to it. This is exactly the low level mindset the govt wants you to have, so keep up the fine work, you're doin 'em proud

No, thats not realistic, the Federal Government does ship a handfull of people (about 7) fat ones and for the rest of there lives. It would seem like if anyone went to court for "medical marijuana" they could use that in their favor.

I don't give a shit about weed.

But I distinctly dislike the ever deepening "equality by universal criminality" bent the United States has taken over the course the last thirty years. They fought Soviet Russia and numerous other semi-imaginary enemies, beat them depsite their own ineptitude and paranoia, and now, surprise, have become THEM, despite having seen their manifest destiny as a government.

How sad........


I don't smoke, but it's enough to make one contemplate starting. Too many generations of spoiled, entitled children growing into neurotic, self centered non news watching, no Federalist papers reading adults maybe. Hard to figure out.....
