it does`nt look like a very long runway, i would say that it only takes light aircraft, i may be wrong?

I heard NASA found one can land at a steeper angle and so need a smaller runway so maybe it is for that as well.

i flew into The Dominican Republic one time with water on 3 sides. a scary landing for sure because we came in at about 15 feet over water and dropped in like a rock, and reversed engines immediately.
