I think fossil fell in love with this beast the moment he helped me wrangle it
outta its box
There's tons of cases on the market these days but this Cooler Master Cosmos
really integrates great style, function and workmanship in such a sweet overall
package that it's a win, win all around and was the best choice overall of all
the cases I have for a server due to its massive storage capacity inside. This
baby has a total of 11 internal HD bays when set up as a server!
This one is home for the new Fedora 12 64bit server PLP and I put together last
weekend here at the casa. I stripped the guts of the system from the one I had
been usin in my LR to put this together. The specs are pretty simple: MSI MoBo,
Intel 3.0ghz dual core CPU, 4gb DDR2 800mhz dual channel ram, and at this point
5tb of storage (2-2tb and 2-500gb drives)which I hope to upgrade eventually to
at least 8tb, though 10 or 12tb would be even better!
Since a server dudn really need a CD/DVD drive I didn install one in the case
but have a SATA DVD-RW drive plugged in by way of an E-SATA port off the back of
the MoBo to allow me to load the rest of my DVD collection and then simply
unplug the drive and drop it into another machine that will have a need for a
drive
