An easy way to see how developed the world is!
Interesting how lit up India is.

Yeah, I thought India was quite interesting too. It's easy to see from this
picture what has been said for many years - USA uses more energy than anywhere
else put together

Russia has lines like veins. I'd presume that would be towns following rivers
or trainlines. The later built during the Soviet period.

A classic image this week. Many of you will have seen it before, however that
doesn't detract from any from its quality. An amazing satellite composite image
of the earth at night, taken from hundreds of photographs. As the world's
rich/poor divide grows ever larger, and developing nations are left behind in
the dark ages (literally), you can see where the lines have been drawn. It's
almost completely lights-out in Africa. Of notable worth is India, which lights
up like a Christmas tree in the middle of some of the poorest countries in the
world. We hope you'll enjoy this week's Image Of The Week.

The picture is what is called a mosaic - a composition of many seperate photos.
And Nut, India is the world's fastest growing country, it will overtake China in
population in about 10 years and it is developing faster than almost anywhere
else except China. It's where all the call centres are being outsourced to!
And for all you people in America, notice how much of the world isn't America -
there's a whole world beyond your shores that doesn't give a shit about you
lot!
