In Italy people from Genova ("Genovesi"winking smiley are famous because they are said to be Mean, just like scots.
Last friday there was a nice fight here in Genova, a group of Scots and a group of Genovesi began to drink together talking about Saturday's match Italy vs Scotland. At the eand each group wanted the other group to pay the bill, and they initiated a big fight that was stopped only by the police!

Bob, it is not a joke, it really happened! I live in Genova, and it was on the first pages of local newspapers. In fact the image I copied here is taken from the main newspaper from genova, "Il Secolo XIX", whose site is www.ilsecoloxix.it

the scots have historically and traditionally been poorer than their english counterparts. Even today Scottish people are far poorer than English people as are Irish and Welsh people =yet= Scotland still gives more to charity. I'm not mean I don't think Scot's are mean but we do love a good bar brawl and a few drinks. Who won the fight?
