If their own people would have stood up for their rights long ago like we did in our country, they wouldn't have needed your ass to come behind the marines and try to take credit for their battles.

Their people stood up after the first gulf war. That resulted in thousands of them, including women and children getting slaughtered.

Anthony's right, the huge uprising right after the first Gulf war failed. The Americans withdrew support at the last minute and let Saddam crush it. I wonder why they did that.

america did that because they realised it was more in their interest to have saddam a crazy dictator in power than have a crazy muslim tyranical government in power which would spread terrorism across the earth.

The mission in Gulf War 1 was to liberate Kuwait, not invade Iraq. In order to help a rebellion, the US army would have to basically invade all of Iraq. Well we all know what a mess a complete invasion can turn into now don't we.

Looks like you should have liberated them, cause they look half American...souvenirs left over from the Gulf War.

Ok I guess I should have stated that these are Afghan children when I posted it, but it just goes to show that the ignorant people ou there will bash the US no matter what. As for the comment from 25117, the marines did nothing in Afghanistan, we with the 101st Airborne were the first in and last out.

Yeah, we sure did make their lives a lot better by kicking the Taliban out, didn't we? They sure do have a lot more rights now, and they look so happy, too!
