Judging by the numbers the hearts of the American people are in the right place. Too bad our leaders don't share our perspective.

Troy, are you serious? I thought the action sequences were good, but the supporting actors stole the show in my opinion. I was very disappointed at Brad Pitt's performance in this film. He seemed a bit too "wooden" to me. They might as well have gotten Arnold Schwarzenegger to play Achilles. For my money, nothing beats Spartacus for classic Greek/Roman film, or Mediterranean

Correct me if I am wrong, but the combined assaults of the Western Allied forces (primarily bombers) and the fact that the Germans overextended their reach into soviet territory served as a linch pin to the defeat of the Germans. The soviets put pressure on from the east as the push continued from the west.

I'm with Joe49! TiW: If, in fact finger-pointing is merely citing an example; it should be phrased as such. Most posts take an accusatory tone. Your posts are articulate. On the other hand many posts resort to name calling in a tone becoming a 10 year old. Maybe there are 10 year olds posting here, but I would wager it is a lack of intellect that inflicts the majority of these "a

Well I looked, China was part of the Allied forces in WWII. But what about their stance on other Genocides that did not concern the invasion of their borders? I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.

Is it possible to have a Political and Social conversation on this forum without it degenerating into finger pointing? I wouldn't mind trying to actually talk about some of the concepts behind the problems instead of always ending up on the defending end of an Anti-American bash fest. So this said, how about we talk about the distribution of wealth amongst the worlds populace. You know the

Yes I know we have more responsibility to help because we are more powerful than most countries. Point is that every country could do something, many choose not to. What was China doing during WWII, Sudan, Rwanda? I seriously don't know. Did they sit idly by and let genocide perpetuate? The US isn't all gum drops and sugar, but neither is any other country.

Bob: I think there is a whole planet full of countries that didn't intervene in any of the genocides. Yeah the US picks and chooses, but every country does. That is politics. It isn't right, but that is how it works.

Some people are all for revenge, a cycle that perpetuates itself indefinitely. See below: venĀ·geance n. Infliction of punishment in return for a wrong committed; retribution. Idiom: with a vengeance With great violence or force. I realize revenge doesn't solve anything for future generations. Real change must be perpetuated by a change in collective conscious and leadership. See be

TConX: Point taken. Let me preface by stating that I don't support war. Now if you think that this sort of thing only happens when the good ol' US is involved I think you would be poorly mistaken. I would wager that this sort of behavior is commonplace in every war in the annals. I think that media involvement these days just lets everyday folk see nore of what happens. This sort of t
