You can always register with a hotmail account or even a fake email address, since the only use the email address has is for password recovery (we don't email you, even at account creation stage). If you're confident you won't lose your login details, you don't have to use a real email address. As for why the number after names changes, it's based on your IP address, which if you're on dialup

Fairly obviously, Melbourne, Australia. Yes, it's true this site was named after Melbourne's dialling code (It's actually in the 'about' link at the bottom of the page). 61 is Australia, 3 (or 03 for Australians) is Melbourne. Sydney is +61-2, Brisbane +61-7 etc. Melbourne is +61-3.

Things look a little tacky, because if you can't tell we're unix admins, not web designers We'd happily welcome people to do logos or graphics for the site. The current logo was made in Paint Shop Pro, was just a font basically. I'd definitely like to improve the look of the site, but not to remove the speed and simplicity of the site. At least I think it's simple, anyway
