Oh yeah I did that last week. The same thing annoyed me Edit: didn't realise anybody looked at that but me also the shout box I fixed a month or two ago. Not for any reason.

Can't believe PJ never commented on the updated image ratings box. What a jerk @woberto what does that look like on your old man phone?

Yeah it's sad but over time they will build a lot more than Trump ones will. Still, it's nice to see something that's not political

I've un-fucked the smileys. That is all. While I was messing around though, I've made the "pop up" smiley box (eg when you click on the smiley icon) 250 pixels wide (up from 150 it was). If it breaks something let me know

OK I've made the change to the voting box. I don't mind it; what do others think? It still displays on both desktop and mobile versions of the site; that whole box probably doesn't need to display on desktop site.. but problem for another day.

The main thing I didn't like about "inside the ratings box" is the way I've done it at the moment makes the blue title bar too fat. Maybe I can add the text below the "stars", wonder what that would look like. At the moment the site is served by some hardware still in the US and some hardware in Australia; at the moment it's all being served out of Australia because I'm

Really? Wonder if it's a screen resolution issue. No idea what we designed it for.

Okay I had a quick play while being bored senseless by a meeting. There's 2 options I came up with in the attached image; not sure if it should have its own box, or if it should just be details inside the "rating" box. Both of them TBH look kind of shit on desktop, so not entirely sure how to block it on desktop site. Anyway; thoughts?

You know, that's annoyed me for a while too. And I think it's potentially as little as 1 line of code. Should be a piece of piss. If I'm right I'll do it today. I recently added the "stars" rating box for mobile too because you couldn't actually score an image. I think the vote count has jumped dramatically. That's where o think it will make most sense to add uploader name. I use

It's amazing, the tools that a professional graphic designer like yourself can use and still get an amazing outcome.

I got bored again. ...watermark annoyed me. And to be honest I've been thinking about doing something with the watermark for .. literally years. I've redone the watermark code today to a) add a bar to the bottom of the image b) choose randomly if the watermark will go left or right c) pick the bottom pixel above where the site logo will go d) colour the bar it added based on that

I don't care about political stuff either. But if truly I cared, I'd drown it out with other, higher quality posts

After the UPS died a few weeks ago, it was replaced today. There will be another outage later but things are looking good.

Haha. Nah, I like the 'real' tags. The AI ones were really only ever to tag images that were untagged. Which was 90% of them. There's a reason the AI ones don't appear in the tag cloud, or "top tags" list etc. I do like the search changes of the past few weeks though; fixing bugs, fixing the "logout" issue, adding AI text into the results and changing the search format. All

Along with the hopeful fixing of the random logout which pissed me off no end clicking on tags; I've fundamentally changed the search function today. I may have even done it without breaking it; but unlikely. 2 things have changed. 1) when you search for something, click a link; you can now click "back" in your browser to take you back to the search results without it whinging you

I fixed a bug! If you click on the tags under an image now it doesn't log you out anymore. If you find any other bugs where you click on something and it logs you out, let me know where you are and what you click on and I'll try to solve. You're logged out if the little goat next to #plus613 logo disappears.

Today I've changed the reverse ingress proxies for the site. Hopefully no difference, maybe even a touch faster; but also the one that was there was struggling to cope sometimes and was delivering broken thumb images in eg the gallery view.

Speed of rendering isn't based on how many pixels, it's just a box definition. Now; 3 extra pixels between each box means the entire page will take you 1/50 of a swipe more but.. meh. On image pages, the text box matches the displayed image with, with space for the content boxes down the left hand side. Not much I can do to expand them without expanding the entire page. Which I haven't looked

Yep. That's a completely known unknown issue. I have abso-fucking-lutely no idea why that happens, but suffice to say if you wanna login you have to do it via forum. The site used to have a 'login' box on the left where you could put in username/password too. That also didn't work in the same way. So I replaced it with a link to the forum login page. And THAT doesn't work. You still need t

So I think I can reproduce the issue you're talking about woberto but .. man it's confusing. It LOOKS to me like if an image is uploaded, you can't view it until a logged in user has viewed it. Then anon/not logged in can. There must be something that's triggered by a logged in user viewing it.. cache population or something.. which is missing if you're not logged in. Man. I have no fuck

Also, I've added a faint black highlight to the text around the image title, just to increase contrast.

Also I dunno if any of you jerks noticed, but the image title box was always significantly taller than the text within it; and didn't line up with the box to the left (image stats, etc). I've finally figured out how to make that match, so I've done that. I've also set the title to bold text. I tried centring the text within the box horizontally but .. at least on desktop browser I didn't love it.
