Alot of the 613 code was written to be fast, and the html is scattered thru out the codebase rather than being kinda seperate (easy to edit). The problem we founnd with cropping images like that was it could cut out certain parts of the image, and allow users to hide what the image really was etc. We thought it would be better for users to be able to see the image in it's entirely rather than just a small part and then getting a shock when the rest was loaded fullscreen.

All the images from both sites are loaded from a webserver hosted on the porn613.com domain. So that would of been causing the problems.

Nope not really.. it's a coding error with the php plugin we use to resize the images, until it's fixed by someone else nothing really we can do =( Good old opensource =)

categories are voted on just like users vote on the rating of the pic. If you find a image in the wrong category put select the category you think it should be in, and if enough people agree it will move.

The only thing i can think of is that your either using a firewall that blocks port 81, or the proxy server your using doesn't allow websites that sit on port 81 (we use that port as the webserver that runs on it is very lightweight and it helps reduce load on the server heaps). I'd suggest that you either allow port 81 requests or dont use the proxy server for the 613 sites. For a test to

katalyst: thanks for the reminder. i think it's a coding error with the software that does the actual handling of the thumbs, i haven't been able to get any assistance from the developers and of course my code is bulletproof so that can't be the issue I've just hacked the gallery to put size tags around the thumb'd images. seems to be working well. The reason we don't allow users to remove pics they have uploaded is we hope that people will think twice before uploading something. You shouldn't have a reason to remove your pic if you actully think about what your uploading. Blocking users is something that's doable. I'll add it to the todo list.

katalyst, and others.. feel free to create any new logo's/graphics for the site. maybe if we get enough interest we can run a competition and let everyone vote on the best logo (with the winner getting IOTW - with some writeup on who they are etc) I'd also love to see some flash on the mainpage, it looks very static atm.
