Personally i don't think i've ever wanted the 613's to be a common site. I'd rather have 10-20 people view and add to the site everyday than have 1000's and 1000's of anonymous users just passing over the site using up all the resources without ever either coming back or sticking around to add to it. Someone has been kind enough to upload a hell of alot of movies. Which has highlighted a problem with the animated gif's as a thumbnail. They are simply too large (the gallery is coming out at like 200K per page when it's full of animated gif images). I'm using 2 different mime type checkers, the first (where i think your failing) is purely based on extension of the file (i don't think the webserver has a really updated mime list so i might not have it listed), the 2nd actully looks at the first few bytes and tries to confirm that it's really the type it thinks it is (used around thumb g

Thanks, it's only comments like yours that keep this site going. I've been pulling my hair out all day (sunday!) trying to get the hosting companies techs to look into this. This new server may be cheap but you can really tell quite quickly where monies are saved compared to our last hosting company. Why can't hosting companies have a cheap service and competent tech staff.

Working on a system to allow `Regular users` to be able to moderate the site. Basically users with either 600 forum posts or 1000 image uploads will be able to cast a vote against a image to have it removed. When enough users agree the image will be put into a sin bin and me and pulse would come along and either remove the image or throw it back into the regular image pool. It's still in testing

Ok i've now set the site to not give you the option of logging in unless you have the temp cookie set. As for getting the site to return you to the image you where previously viewing this has been requested a few times so i'll look at doing this soon.

Backing into this new forum has 1 side effect i wasn't aware of until it was too late. The login requires that you have a cookie set before you try and login.
