So in the 14 years since I took this photo (shock horror OC when I lived in Melbourne),
it looks like someone has tried very hard to rub it out and even cover it up.
I always figured it was baked into the tiles and was there by design from the start.
There was that small case of the Spanish Flu that killed 12,000 Australians and 50-100 million worldwide from 1918-1920.
The main building was opened in 1910 and other platforms (and these tiles) were added over the next 10-15 years.
If I were king I would sanction state executions for anyone who defaces a public building,
but that's just an extract from my latest 10 year plan...
