The "rest of the world" is projecting it's own inadequacies onto a perceived threat. They are attempting to attach their own faults on others as if it will actually stick, as if it were a game of tag. It's pretty low human behavior and unfortunately very common. By branding someone else they feel better about themselves, as if there is any escape possible from who they are. They see themselves but don't realize it. in reality, they are calling themselves morons.
