Didn't see any live feral hogs today but I did find this nearly complete skull in a small area of bare ground on the prarie. The lower jaw was about two meters away from the rest of the skull and there were several other bones scattered about but not nearly all of the critter's skeleton was there. There were, however, some coyote and bobcat tracks. That's my U.S. size 11 workboot beside it on the hood of the quasimobile for a size comparison. About the same mass as a human skull but with an itty bitty brain case.
