Well, I don't own mine, but I bought it before the bubble, so what I owe on it is what it's actually worth, not what it appraises for now. And I'm not sure how I did it, but I resisted the urge several times to get a second or a HELOC on it, so I'm feeling pretty fucking smart about now. It's really just about all I've got, though, so I'll live in the dark and eat Ramen noodles if that's what it takes to keep making my mortgage payments.
