our road system capacities have been fucked for 20 years and only getting worse. you should've seen Dallas 15 years ago! jeeeeesus! I-45 was 2 lanes n/s all the way through town. now it's 5 lane and it's still fucked.
as for the bridge situation..it's the same as the road situation, in need of major repair. someone seems to have underestimated grossly the explosion of development.
the tollway authority is a building monster in DFW throwing down a 30 mile stretch 5 lanes in 6 years i think it was.
i don't see the govt. being able to ever keep up maintenance on the existing roads and complete new jobs as well.
