They got it right with "the Grapes of Wrath"!
and I think that some of the war movies were not too bad, but then, most of the really good ones were not Hollywood, but other productions.
One film that showed combat well, is the beginning of "Finding Private Ryan". The beach landing scene is exactly like the way I felt during my first combat moments...
