Really? I have two R1s. An '04 and '05. One of 'em is a tuner, with just a flowed and shaved head and race kit cams. It dynos at a little more than 186 HP at the wheel, is reliable, and looks almost stock. The Yamaha 5 valve head is a superior design, and can produce more power with greater flexibility than either the Kawasaki or Suzuki. I should know...I've been doing this for 30 years.
