I noticed a bunch of uploads of pics from the Vietnam war and some people are completely up in arms over these. I don't understand this. The pictures you are looking at are very real and portray a very serious message about humankinds past. It doesn't matter what war they are from, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea, etc., etc. As grotesque as you might think the pics are, learn from them! If you say we shouldn't have these pics on here then you are saying, in so many words, to ignore them. When you ignore your past then you forget it. THOSE WHO FORGET THE PAST ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT.

My Lai's are taking place all over the place. Most of the same people who complain about these pictures also support BUSH and his NEO-NAZI policies. WAKE UP AND REALISE, IF YOU THINK IT'S DISGUSTING THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT YOUR PRESIDENT IS DOING! HE IS DISGUSTING AND IS A SCAR ON HUMANITY. APATHY IS AS GOOD AS GIVING IN, DON'T SIT BACK AND TAKE THIS DISGUSTING SITUATION FIGHT THOSE NAZIS FUCKS TO THE END!!!!!111

To be honest I am one of those who can not bear looking at these pictures. I find them too disturbing, too explicit. I have seen too many pictures like that, watched too many documentaries, read too many books that describe atrocities. I do not even rate them because rating them seems somehow inappropriate.
Ironically, most of the people do not see a connection between the way they vote in an election and the fact that other people die terrible deaths in Africa or somewhere else. They just do not have a clue. Something to do with lack of basic education, maybe.

That's true, but most of the people who wrote they were offended were probably jerking off to random images, and when they came across these pictures, they got out of the mood. Feeling "tricked" by real-life images, they wrote messages saying "oh, you sick fucks" or "sicko," etc. They're just mad they were in the act of masturbation while viewing these graphic images.

Don't tell me you care.

straightedge, that's so true. You try and post a pic of something other than porn and they are shocked that there is a world out there that doesn't involve blond women with huge tits pleasuring themselves. Perhaps pictures of necrophilliacs in action will be a good middle ground?

I don't get why the people who hate these pictures so much make the effort to click on the thumbnail, look at it, and then type a comment describing how shocked and appalled they are and how whoever posted it is a "sicko".
As has already been said, rather than them being genuinely upset it's more likely that they're mid-wank, quite worked up and maybe a bit watery-eyed. Just on the verge of firing out some man-fat, past the point of no return, but "ooh no I'll just hold on a second longer to look at that next thumbnail which could be more porn and...ohh fuck it's some dead Vietnamese kids..and ohhh fuck no now I've gone and shot my load and the last image that flashed through my head was DEAD VIETNAMESE KIDS. Curse the bastard who uploaded this picture, I'd better call them sick to make myself feel a bit better."

Or something.

Yeah - I was the first to respond to a picture of a terrified middle aged woman with an M16 to her head - I wrote "you a sick fuck" when I saw that picture. I posted and wondered why I'd done it... You're right, I probably responded as I did because it really wasn't something I wanted to see at that moment - it's a terrible picture, in the literal sense, and I guess I projected by revulsion onto the poster

People don't complain have as much since they aren't american. If I posted my pics of those two Americans who got dragged through the streets of Iraq it'd get a hail of abuse. If I posted a pic of two dead Iraqis I'd get applause. Wanking over dead Iraqis isn't a sin according to these guys.

Pudding: Your education on the issues behind the pictures is the key. I don't mind the fact you don't like the pictures knowing what they are about. It's the people that don't want to know that bother me. These kinds of issues are going on as I'm writing this over in Iraq. The only difference between now and the days of Vietnam is the restriction on media access and what they are allowed to show on the tube. What you do get to see is a joke. TV stations like CNN make their money from advertising and the advertising money comes when you get good viewer ratings. So having said that you have to know they glorify everything they show in order to get you to watch. In the end the almighty greenback rules out over the truth.

People who think the news is reported honestly and not filtered are deluding themselves. Read between the lines and always ask questions. TV news is without value and TV in general is a propaganda machine telling you how to behave and what to think. Give your TV away and read a book or go for a walk. Or eat pizza and do handstands. No-one ever does that anymore.
