Rick Astley "Whenever You Need Somebody" through my Sennheiser HD595 headphones, connected to my trusty D-321 Discman and a ProJect headphone amp.

why are you using a headphone amp with a discman? confused smiley maybe better sound but ultimately a waste of an amp imo.

Nope. Just like music, from all genres and time periods. BTW, the Rick Astley CD is back on the rack, and now I'm torturing the neighbors with Rob Zombie's "Hellbilly Deluxe" and Linkin Park "Reanimation" out in my shop.

Thankfully, the worst of Tropical Storm Fay has missed us and the electricity has seemed to stop going on and off, so I think I'll have to play ELO's "Concerto for a Rainy Day" as that's what's going on here.

you'll grow out of it lando smiling smiley

I love this, not many people do, but you have to listen all the way through because there is no traditional song structure:
link -> sqaurepusher - the modern bass guitar

or this, again amazingly well constructed and produced music that keeps the brain active throughout:
link -> autechre Autchre's latest album, Quaristice is worth every second of your time.

used to listen to this a lot on my headphones walking about town:
link -> phantomsmasher

and this too, the same guy, completely different style: link -> Khanate How slow can you go? smiling smiley

and this is a friend of mine: link -> nagamarque He's from Australia, used to live in Edinburgh (where I know him from) and now lives in Finland.

Z, got any links for the stuff you mentioned? Always lookin for somethin fresh and new, and yep, it does keep the ol personal data bank on the move/grow. It's pretty much why I have stopped listening to a lot of the "classic rock" stuff in my collection. Having heard it for 30+yrs now (most of it) has lost its edge winking smiley
