Depends entirely on your needs. Do you need data backup (mirror) or do you need read+write access speed (stripe)?

Personally, I'd go a multidisk setup, say 5 x 1TB and raid 5 it.. or 6 x 1TB and raid 6.

went raid 1 on the system, unfortunately I have a 100base network so I would'nt get anything out of Striping it except for the space.
