Dude Commercialism is dead to interactive folks such as we. this place seems dry at times as well, but I do pay attention to 613 just cause of the people that think here. Otherwise I'd be lonely. It is refreashing to know this is one of the places we come to gather.

I hear ya loud and clear shaDEz. I have problee 10+ tabs open most of the time and yet I spend a helluva lot more time here than elsewhere in the ol E world. Hell I've even gotten kind bored with my pron surfin of late.

I think PLP nailed it though. It's the interaction and preponderance of images and ideologies that keeps this place so interesting. It's kinda like a place to gather ideas and explore others ideas, discuss 'em and do so in a freewheeling way ..... and that is not an easy thing to find on the net.

I write stuff here and there and submit articles and such in a few other places but I always feel like I have to sit down at my keeboard with kid gloves on to write stuff for these other places. Here, I can just hammer it out and say exactly what I'm thinkin without the common constraints found most everywhere else.

My hat's off to you 2 cats and most assuredly our main benefactors here : pulse and DK

I personally can't hack pretty much the whole internet. Every part of it bores me to tears. I've reduced myself to reading just a tiny handful of sites with any degree of regularity (or irregularity), and most of them are either news or IT related (or both).

I dunno, I'm sure there's interesting stuff out there, but youtube is boring as fuck and frankly I'd rather eat broken glass than use something like facebook or myspace.

So where does it leave the rest of us? Yeah, I like our sites, but even them we can't be as free as we'd like to be without constant threat of litigation (and trust me, we cop a fair bit). I'd like to be able to put up a really, honest to god, free website where you can put whatever the hell yuo want on there but it'd be overrun by kiddy porn within seconds and then shut down (and frankly, trying to keep the internet free isn't worth the sanctity of my ass being violated in prison. DK on the other hand would enjoy it).

So I guess we're just screwed. Now, with the last 6 years behind us, we have less freedoms (both of speech and of thought) than ever. The internet was meant to be a free place where anybody could say anything about anything they wanted. But it just isn't. And it never will be.

I used to spend some time surfing a bit here and there, but in the end the pages i visit, have also been limited to just few.
Once i got back here again couple of months ago, been spending quite much time with #613, maybe i´ll stay for a while this time
But it´s funny to notice that there´s always ~200 ppl online, and there´s only a little group that are actively writing/commenting.

And to the original topic, i have to say that i find this site maybe the only one where i can spend some time, most of the others i just "pass by" and leave.
So what you wrote MrK., i gotta say right back at ya, because i wouldn´t be here without the regulars&their opinions, comments, bullsh*t etc (those 10-20, you know yourselves)!

To me this PC and the internet are tools. I use them to find out things, stay in contact with friends and family, and collect photos, which is what brought me to this site in the first place. As with any advanced tool these things are subject to breakdowns and screwups, so I don't trust them too much, but they are interesting and useful when working properly. I don't do chat rooms or myspace or any of that other crap, I'm not a very social person, but with plus613 I've found a community where I feel comfortable. I enjoy the interaction more than the pics themselves and I'm glad you're all here to make this such an enjoyable place.
