Okay, so I am watching the movie "Elektra" on DVD, and one of the scenes shows the title character having Christmas dinner with her intended targets. Later on there was a thud in my brain and I stoped to consider all of the movies that I have scene where Christmas was used as part of the story but was not the main theme by far. I came up with a list of a few, and I wanted to ask others to post a list of movies they like that fit this theme of Christmas but not Christmas. Here is my list in no particular order of favorite.
1. "Edward Scissorhands"
2. "Lethal Weapon" one
3.& 4. "Die Hard" both one and two
5. "Elektra"
6. "Desk Set" (old Tracy & Hepburn flick)
7. "Amadeus"
8. "Castaway"
9. "Tombstone"
10. "Forrest Gump"

There's ten to start with, the only real requirement is at least one scene contains Christmas. If you want to include the made for Christmas but not quite Christmas movies that's okay too. Two of those would be "Home Alone" and "The Nightmare before Christmas."

Anyway, I thought it would be interesting to see what people would list, so let's go to the movies. Maybe we can come up with a top five list.

I think "Amadeus" is notsuitable for Christmas movie. Intaraesting but tradic at last.
Other side, I like "Die Hard 2". "Planes Trains and Automobiles" too.

It's not Christmas movie. But I recommend
"TORA! TORA! TORA!". Why Japan and America ended
in the War... It made very fair and accurate.

Compare "TORA! TORA! TORA" with......
lately "The Pearl harvor" is poor work!
"Titanic" too!

Oh, "Top Gun" was too cool!

And "BLACK RAIN"disappointed smiley1988).
NY and Osaka(Japan)'s police men and yakuza's story.

All the "Harry Potter" movies....they may be not X-mas movies in your countries, but they are in Italy, in fact they are usually on the screen starting from December. The concept of X-mas movie changes from country to country.
