Black_Trans_Am, I might be mistaken and I´m confusing Bandy and Shinty. Or they very similar and have different names in different places. Sorry. Life is confusing, and a little hazy at times.
Black_Trans_Am, okay! got it sorted out now! Bandy is indoors Shinty and thats pretty much the difference tween the two. Explains why its bandy in Sweden (cos its freeezin) and shinty in Ireland where the palm trees grow.
Bob, see, you are not going to win anything, while we are!

In my opinion Rugby LEAGUE (not rugby union, or known nearly everywhere in the world as simply 'rugby') is bar far the best spectator sport. It is the fastest of all the football codes (Soccer/Football, American Football, Australian Rules, Rugby Union) and the shear pace of the game is amazing to watch. I'm a fan of American Football but if I had the choice to watch either on television, Rugby League would always be my first preferance.
I enjoy playing soccer/football but for me it is really boring to watch. I don't get how you can watch guys kick around a ball for an hour and a half and so many times the score will end up 0 - 0.
What is the difference between Rugby LEAGUE and Rugby union as you called it. I find Rugby interesting, but I don't know much about it. Why is it your fave?
Baseball.
When I was a child, I like =Yomiuri Giants= .
Mr.Sadaharu Oh was in there. I hoped "Oh-san will make a home-run" when I saw TV.
Now many Japanese players in Majour leage... Hideki Matsui (Yankees), Ichiro Suzuki (Mariners) etc... and Hideo Nomo, Tsuyoshi Shinjo... They gave dreams for people of Japan.
