"Hot Chicks on Dope" really good plot and great acting. The continuity was amazing, each fuck blended seamlessly into the next one. Really brilliant script.

Napoleon Dynamite wasn't bad...a couple of good lines: "So you got my back and everything?", and "Who else knows illegal ninja moves from the government?"

From recent viewings though, my vote's for Capturing the Friedmans.

Katalyst, I know you've been a plus613er for a while, and I don't disagree with most of your sentiments, but I have to say I thought Donnie Darko was psuedo-philosophical tripe.

Going to see Grizzly Man tomorrow. Heard good stuff about this Herzog documentary.

Star Wreck. Less for the acting and plot, but the fact it was a bunch of geeks who put it together for free, then released it on the net: www.starwreck.com

If you like Herzog, look for =Aguirre: Wrath of God= . Classic, insane, historical.

Recently I have been going through the complete series of "Stargateconfused smileyG1" up to the end of season 4. As for movies, I received a DVD at Christmas of the movie "Gettysburg." It is more than five years old; yes, but it is a very powerful movie. The extras on the DVD were also great.

In addition to the Ron Howard stuff (and the stuff that strikes a similar narrative stance that I misidentified) I like "The Natural" too. It's a little bit "Capra-esque" but that's OK....

i recently watched v for vendetta. really good flick..definately not what i expected it to be...quite relevant i believe to the whole terrorist / campaign of fear tactics used in the modern world atm. i love been pleasantly suprised by movies that i initally thought would be yet another cheesy crock of hollywood (ie ultraviolet...what a pos)
